Podcast
Hey Monica. The podcast for the recovering perfectionist.
I co-host Hey Monica with my friend Amber — a meal-planning coach who helps busy families right here in the Twin Cities, just like you. It's a show about permission: dropping perfectionism to make space for what really matters in your home, in your food, and in your life.
We named it as a loving nod to TV's favorite competitive, bossy neat-freak — because if you've ever felt like your closet and your fridge both have opinions about whether you're doing life right, this show is for you. Expect honest conversation, plenty of banter, and zero judgment.
Why I wanted you to hear it
If you've ever wondered what working with me actually feels like, the podcast is the closest thing to being a fly on my wall. It's where I talk the way I organize: no before-and-after shame, no pressure to live up to a magazine spread — just honest, judgment-free support for real families with real life happening in their homes.
My approach to organizing starts with how your family actually lives, not how a room is "supposed" to look. On the show, Amber and I practice that same philosophy in every conversation — hers with food and meal planning, mine with homes and spaces. Between the two of us, no topic is too small and no mess is too embarrassing.
If that sounds like the kind of help you want in your own home, here's how the organizing process works and a little more about me.
Every episode
Two segments you can count on.
Confessions
Our own imperfect moments, out loud, every single episode. We go first — so you never have to pretend your house (or your meal plan) is flawless.
What's Working Now
Practical to silly — whatever is actually working this week. Small, real-life wins you can borrow for your own home.
Give it a listen.
Short enough for a school run, honest enough to make you laugh out loud in the car. And if we sound like your kind of people, I'd love to meet your space.
