Closet organizing
A closet that makes getting dressed the easy part of the day.
The closet is where clutter hides in plain sight — every unmade decision tucked behind a door. We'll sort what's there, let go of what's ready to go, and build a system you can keep up with every morning.
Sound familiar?
If your closet feels overwhelming, it's not a you problem.
Closets fill up one decision at a time, and no one teaches you how to un-fill them. If any of these hit a little close to home — you're in exactly the right place.
- You're reaching for the same five outfits because the rest are buried or wrinkled
- Clothes you haven't worn in years are taking up prime real estate in front
- You re-buy basics because you can't find the ones you already own
- The spare room closet has become a catch-all no one opens on purpose
- Every season change turns into a weekend-long archaeology project
How it works
The same calm process — in your closet.
- Phase 01
Free in-home consultation
We spend an hour in your space talking through what's working, what isn't, and how you'd like getting dressed to feel. I also take basic measurements while I'm there, so if you decide to work together I already know what will fit.
- Phase 02
Organizing sessions
I arrive with the bins, baskets, and storage solutions that actually fit your closet. We take everything out together, sort by size and season, coordinate donations, and give what's staying a labeled home — usually in 2–3 sessions.
- Phase 03
Monthly or quarterly resets
Closets drift — that's normal. An optional reset session (a seasonal swap is a favorite) brings it back to baseline, or you can spend it on a different space that needs a little TLC. Completely up to you.
What "done" looks like
Not picture-perfect. Working.
Everything visible at a glance
One row, sorted in a way that matches how you get dressed. No more digging for the one shirt you actually wanted — your closet works like a menu, not a mystery.
Folded and hung the way you'll actually keep up
A method that fits your mornings, not a Pinterest photo. If rolling works better than folding for you, we roll. The best system is the one that survives a rushed Tuesday.
Containers that actually fit
I source and purchase the bins, baskets, and hangers on your behalf — sized to your shelves, rods, and drawers — unless you'd prefer to work with storage pieces you already own. You're billed at cost, never marked up.
A clear path for what's leaving
We sort what no longer belongs and coordinate donations with Twin Cities nonprofits, so the pieces you've outgrown go to someone who needs them — not a donation-bin landfill.
No need to tidy up first
Seriously — seeing things exactly as they are helps. It shows me your real rhythms: what you reach for most, what keeps migrating to a chair, what you keep saving for someday. I design the system around that, not around a photo shoot.
Kind words
What people are saying.
"Tia has a gift of taking any space and turning it into beauty. As a busy working mom of 4, she has been a godsend to helping make spaces in my home beyond organized — the spaces bring me joy! I do not have Tia's gift, but I sure appreciate it. I plan on hiring her for several more projects around my house."
"If you are wondering how you will EVER tackle that closet or room, look no further. Room for Serenity helped us transform a closet into an oasis of inspiration! Perfect for people going through changes (empty nesters, changing spaces). Their ease-filled approach made the process enjoyable and so liberating. Don't wait any longer. Your future self will thank you!"
"I would recommend Room for Serenity to ANYONE looking to enhance their quality of life — whether they're in a transition with their space or just need some caring and deeply kind people to help free up emotional and mental space to take care of other parts of their life by clearing away the clutter."
