Laundry room organizing
A laundry room that keeps the laundry moving.
Laundry is never really finished, so the room needs to work with the flow instead of against it. We'll set up sorting, supplies, and a landing spot for the in-between stage — the part where most systems stall.
Sound familiar?
If laundry keeps stalling halfway, it's usually the setup — not you.
Most laundry rooms are small, shared with storage, and missing a spot for clean-but-not-put-away. Any of this sound familiar?
- Clean clothes live in the basket for days
- Detergent, stain spray, and dryer sheets are scattered across three surfaces
- Single socks pile up with no system for reuniting them
- The room doubles as storage, so there's no counter to fold on
- Line-dry and hand-wash items have nowhere to go, so they sit
How it works
The same calm process — in your laundry room.
- Phase 01
Free in-home consultation
We spend an hour in your space talking through how laundry actually moves through your house, where it stalls, and what you'd change. I also take basic measurements while I'm there, so if you decide to work together I already know what will fit.
- Phase 02
Organizing sessions
I arrive with the bins, baskets, and shelf organizers sized to the room. We consolidate supplies, set up sorting, create a folding and landing zone, and label everything — laundry rooms often come together in one or two sessions.
- Phase 03
Monthly or quarterly resets
If the room slides back, an optional reset brings it to baseline. Or spend that session on a linen closet or another space that needs it. Completely up to you.
What "done" looks like
Not picture-perfect. Working.
Sorting that happens before the room
Labeled baskets by type or by person, so loads are ready to run instead of needing to be triaged on the floor first.
Supplies in one contained spot
Detergent, stain treatment, and dryer supplies together and visible, so you can see when you're running low.
A real landing zone
A defined space for clean clothes waiting to be folded or put away — the missing step in most laundry setups.
Containers that fit the space
I source and purchase the baskets, bins, and shelf risers on your behalf — sized to your machines and shelving — unless you'd rather use what you own. Billed at cost.
No need to tidy up first
Don't catch up on laundry before I arrive. A room mid-cycle is the most honest version of it, and it shows me exactly where things get stuck.
Kind words
What people are saying.
"Tia has a gift of taking any space and turning it into beauty. As a busy working mom of 4, she has been a godsend to helping make spaces in my home beyond organized — the spaces bring me joy! I do not have Tia's gift, but I sure appreciate it. I plan on hiring her for several more projects around my house."
"If you are wondering how you will EVER tackle that closet or room, look no further. Room for Serenity helped us transform a closet into an oasis of inspiration! Perfect for people going through changes (empty nesters, changing spaces). Their ease-filled approach made the process enjoyable and so liberating. Don't wait any longer. Your future self will thank you!"
"I would recommend Room for Serenity to ANYONE looking to enhance their quality of life — whether they're in a transition with their space or just need some caring and deeply kind people to help free up emotional and mental space to take care of other parts of their life by clearing away the clutter."
